We are Gary and Margot Neubauer, owners of Bowen's Chinchillas, the oldest and largest chinchilla ranch in the United States. We can say with much pride (and some modesty) that we enjoy the reputation of raising some of the finest chinchillas in the world.


Own a Bowen's Chinchilla
For some time now we have wanted to offer some of our higher quality chinchillas to the public, but we just felt we didn't have enough higher quality mutation animals available. But now, we are very pleased to announce that we have a good supply of outstanding mutations as well as our superior standards.

These chinchillas are of extremely high quality. These are not typically the sort of animal that someone purchases as a common pet. Animals of this quality usually appeal to those attempting to raise the finest chinchillas possible, whether for show or simply for herd improvement. These chins are literally among the "best of the best" and in the hands of a serious breeder, they are the tools that can improve the species.

In addition to these special quality chins, we also have a large number of "companion quality" chinchillas. These animals will not win top ribbons at shows, but they are very reasonably priced and are very very cute.
